Have you thought about alternatives for having your baby?

Maybe you are thinking of home birth or other alternative birthing experience!

Women have been giving birth for centuries.  Today, we have all this modern technology that can improve birth outcomes. We also have an ideal of how we would like to bring our little one into the world. A homebirth does not compromise the comprehensive care we can provide for moms and babies. The best part about much of technological innovation and proven techniques is that we can bring almost all of these benefits directly into the privacy of your home. Our midwives are trained in what to do in case of an emergency during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, as well as to tend to those mothers that may have complications and require additional medical support. Should a complication arise, you are in great hands.

YOUR BABY IS BY YOUR SIDE FOR LIFE’S FIRST PRECIOUS MOMENTS

“The Golden Hour” is the hour after birth where your baby is transitioning from life inside the womb to life outside the womb. This is a special time for family bonding and many moms bring the baby to the breast soon after birth. Your midwife knows what to look for, but unless there is a need to interrupt–such as due to a complication–weighing and measuring the baby or cutting the baby’s umbilical cord can wait until you are ready.

Where to start to find the right Midwife

For you!

If you are interested in finding the perfect midwife for you, you're probably wondering where to start.  First, you should check with your insurance provider to ensure you have coverage. Sometimes a recommendation is needed from your family care and primary care providers. You can also set out on the internet to find the place that best suits your needs.  Call them up and see what they need for you to get started.  Many of these places will have a description of their midwives online, to give you an idea of who they are and what they stand for.  You need to feel comfortable with whoever you choose, so take your time and make an appointment to meet and just go over your expectations.

Recommendations are a great start

Another great way to find the right midwife for you, ask for recommendations.  Social media is a great way to see what others in the community use and like. Oftentimes you will see questions such as who to use on community pages that allow the locals to speak up on who they like. This will give you a great idea of where to start in finding your perfect professional midwife.
